AT M.A.E.R.A., VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME, DONATING OR LOANING EQUIPMENT, OR DISCOVERING AN ENJOYABLE JOB MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

With a rotating family of over 50 horses, a facility of over 150 stalls on 52 acres, and numerous on-going interactive, educational, recreational, and healing programs, there are many ways to give to M.A.E.R.A.

You can get involved by:

VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME AT M.A.E.R.A.

This could include anything from feeding horses, mucking stalls, grant writing, assisting with M.A.E.R.A.’s programs and events, and advertising, to putting up or tearing down old fencing. We’d also love help with grounds maintenance and improvements, re-doing electrical work (it is old knob and tube) and plumbing in the arena.

DONATING PASTURE LAND FOR USE BY M.A.E.R.A.

Due to the high number of horses in need, and too often having to turn away horses, M.A.E.R.A. is always looking for additional pasture space.

LOANING OR DONATING EQUIPMENT TO M.A.E.R.A.

M.A.E.R.A. needs the following items:

  • Large goose neck flatbed trailer
  • Goose neck 10+ horse trailer
  • Bumper pull 4 horse trailer
  • 4×4, Gator or 4 wheeler with dump trailer for ranch work
  • Tractor
  • Bushhog mower
  • Post pounder for T-posts and wood fence posts
  • Pressure washer
  • Welder
  • Band saw
  • Table saw
  • Hammers
  • Arena Drag

Please know, whatever you choose to do makes such a difference for our programs at M.A.E.R.A. and we sincerely appreciate your willingness to participate in whatever way you can; but, we also want to share, from our many years of experiences, we believe the real return comes from the joy, personal growth, insights and friendships we all gain assisting with our horses; and, all of our new and old friends coming everyday to M.A.E.R.A.
